Top adapter for sight gauge

Top connector add on for sight gauge kit.

Install at top of your keg or kettle to form a closed loop back into the top of your kettle.

Will work with any of the sight gauge kits that we sell.

Comes with:

1/2" NPT x 1/2" TUBE 90 compression adapter.

1/2" NPT size SS keg washer

1/2" NPS locknut with groove

2 - 1/2" NPT size o-rings (to seal on 1/2" thread - one is a spare)

2 - 1/4" NPT size o-rings (to seal to tube)

MALE NPT THREADS REQUIRE WHITE OR YELLOW PTFE (TEFLON) PLUMBERS TAPE BEFORE ASSEMBLY.   YOU WILL GALL (BOND) THE THREADS WITHOUT IT.

CARE AND USE OF YOUR POLYCARBONATE TUBE: 

PROTECT YOUR TUBING and sight gauge from direct flame exaust.  Tubing will soften / melt if flame wash heats it past 250 F.

A HEAT SHIELD (a piece of flat metal under the edge of your kettle) should be used to keep the flames off the sight gauge, valves and thermometers.

To remove  debris, a short soak in powdered brewery wash or oxyclean and a gentle scrub with a nylon tube brush.

DO NOT SOAK FOR LONGER THAN 30 minutes to prevent cracking of your tube
